I am always looking for different workout exercises to cross train. I became curious about Pilates while I was training last summer. I actually peeked in a studio near my home and saw a bunch of women working out inside. I had always heard it was a great "core" workout but thought it was for women. The lady who owned the studio greeted me and asked if I'd like to try a session. I told her I'd come back the next morning early before any of her other clients got there. in retrospect, I am happy no one was there to see my struggle through the workout. The combination of flexibility and core strengthening kicked my butt. I figured I was flexible and had a strong core for my sport but that didn't help with any Pilates exercise.
